John is the child of missionaries who served in West Africa.  At the age of eight John realized his need for a Savior and surrendered his life to Christ during an evangelistic service in Senegal, Africa.  During high school, he began to sense God’s call to full-time ministry.  John graduated from Southern California College with a B.A. in Church Ministries (Pastoral).  In 1984 he joined NCC’s staff.  John has served in various roles over the years.  As Discipleship and Care Pastor, his current responsibilities include discipleship, counseling, community life, pastoral care, premarital counseling, family ministries, and more.  John and his wife, Beth, have three adult children and four grandchildren.
