Steve was raised in a Christian home, but rebelled strongly as a young man.  Steve says God used the Bible, godly teachers, and mentors and the influence of the church family to change him dramatically.  Currently, Steve serves NCC as an Elder with oversight on Student Ministries and College & Career.  Steve and his wife Rene have been married since 1976.  They have two married daughters.
