John was raised in a church-going family in Michigan, but John himself did not know the Lord.  Encountering painful circumstances, John told God “that if He were real, He would heal my friends of their medical problems” and John’s wife would get pregnant.  God answered all of John’s prayers and the next Sunday John indicated to his pastor his decision to accept Christ into his life.  John serves NCC in the Welcome Center where he meets new friends, directs them around the campus and, occasionally, prays with them.  He is the director of a small youth sports league and served in the United States Air Force.  John and his wife, Christi, have been married since 1988 and have attended NCC for over 16 years.  They are parents of two adult children.
