Special Needs

SOMETHING SPECIAL
“That all may worship” is the theme of Joni and Friends ministries, and that is our purpose here as well.  Our class is a place of compassion, acceptance, and loving instruction. Students (children or adults) with special needs are just like everyone else.  They want to be accepted, loved, and taught Biblical principles, as well as Bible stories.  They respond with a refreshingly sincere faith and love.  The class also serves their families, providing them with more freedom to attend a class or worship service.

The class currently meets Sundays at 9 am in room E106.  It is designed to meet the needs of students that have difficulty in any area of functioning.  As a result, the profile of the class has changed over the years with variation in number and areas of need.  Currently the participants are few in number and are all adults (ranging in age from 23 to over 65).
