At NCC we value the family! Often times we drive to church together, arrive on campus, and scatter in many different directions each one going to his or her own class. So several times throughout the year we provide specific opportunities for families to experience worship together – usually two Sundays a year and the month of July. Sunday, March 21, is our next Family Worship Sunday. These times together are great opportunities for kindergarten and elementary aged kids to see what “Big Church” is all about – to observe the ordinances of the church (baptism & communion), and participate in giving, praising, listening to God’s Word, praying, and being with His people. We strongly encourage parents to purpose to use these times for training and instructing their children. To help in this process, we have prepared two resources that are available on our website entitled “Suggestions for Helping Your Child Worship” and “Teaching Children about Baptism and Communion“. These resources will provide you with some ideas on how to work with your children both at home and at church in ways that might help maximize your worship experience together. Our sincere prayer is that your child will learn to be an active participant in the service alongside you as you worship our Great God together!
