At NCC we value the family! Often times we drive to church together, arrive on campus, and scatter in many different directions each one going to his or her own class. So several times throughout the year we provide specific opportunities for families to experience worship together – usually two Sundays a year and the month of July. Sunday, March 21, is our next Family Worship Sunday. These times together are great opportunities for kindergarten and elementary aged kids to see what “Big Church” is all about – to observe the ordinances of the church (baptism & communion), and participate in giving, praising, listening to God’s Word, praying, and being with His people. We strongly encourage parents to purpose to use these times for training and instructing their children. To help in this process, we have prepared two resources that are available on our website entitled “Suggestions for Helping Your Child Worship” and “Teaching Children about Baptism and Communion“. These resources will provide you with some ideas on how to work with your children both at home and at church in ways that might help maximize your worship experience together. Our sincere prayer is that your child will learn to be an active participant in the service alongside you as you worship our Great God together!

The Bible instructs us to help the needy and to defend the defenseless. Some of us are already engaged with organizations that help needy women and children in our community. But, there is much more that needs to be done, and many more who could be serving.

So, on March 28, NCC will have a Community Ministry Fair! This event is designed to help you find your place to fulfill your Biblical mandate. Nearly a dozen local ministries will be invited to visit the NCC campus that Sunday morning. They will speak in Sunday morning Growth Groups, and will set up display tables on the Fellowship Patio to sign up new volunteers to serve with them. We encourage you to be praying about how God wants you to get involved in serving the needy and defenseless women and children in our community.

Without the faithful assistance provided by our many helpers, many tasks would remain undone. On a weekly basis there are men and women serving our body by using their skills to repair and maintain our buildings, grounds and equipment, fold and stuff our bulletins, operate and service our sound equipment, collate and assemble booklets, prepare curriculum, or fill in as a receptionist or ministry assistant. We have others that lend a watchful eye as security for our campus activities and still others who exercise hospitality by preparing meals and refreshments. Should God lay it on your heart to volunteer we gladly welcome your gifts and talents! Click here to find a list of our current needs.
