Classes Begin!

Most adult Growth Groups will reconvene and reconnect on August 1. The fall season is always an exciting time of “new things” and our classes are no different. Most classes will be starting a new teaching series or initiating new ministry and service activities. If you have any questions, contact your class leader.

Also on Sunday, August 1, children will be promoted to their next age/grade for the 2010-11 school year. Every child will need to be registered for his/her new class. Register your kids now in A101 (preschool check-in room) or the south foyer off of the Worship Center. You can also save some time by filling out and printing off the registration form here to turn in on Sunday!

Please keep these team members in your prayers: Alex Whiten, Amanda Bryant, Chad Carter, Hannah Lasley, Khue Do, Marcus Roberts, Megan Legere, Olivia Heyen, Sarah Grasso, Sarah McLaughlin, Scott Carter, Vanessa Wawryzniak, and Zach Moore. The team will be partnering with Josiah Venture to put on an English Camp for students. They will teach students conversational English skills as well as have the opportunity to have discussions about Bible stories and the Gospel. The prayer is that students will grow in their English skills, but also that they will come to know the Lord.

Cliff Jumping in Sedona!

We’re going to Grasshopper Point to cliff jump and have some fun! Meet at NCC at 8 am with your swimsuit, towel, shoes that you can climb in and get wet, and a water bottle (no glass containers). Cost will be $2-3 to get in (depending on carpool size), and don’t forget to bring some extra cash for lunch and to help your driver out with gas. You’re welcome to just swim and hang out too! Please RSVP by Wednesday, July 28, so that we can prepare for lunch accordingly.

Register kids now for Promotion Sunday! On Sunday, August 1, children will be promoted to the next age/grade for the 2010-11 school year. Heart of a Volunteer

Without the faithful assistance provided by our many helpers, many tasks would remain undone. On a weekly basis there are men and women serving our body by using their skills to repair and maintain our buildings, grounds and equipment, fold and stuff our bulletins, operate and service our sound equipment, collate and assemble booklets, prepare curriculum, or fill in as a receptionist or ministry assistant. We have others that lend a watchful eye as security for our campus activities and still others who exercise hospitality by preparing meals and refreshments. Should God lay it on your heart to volunteer we gladly welcome your gifts and talents! Click here to find a list of our current needs.

From “Dust to Glory”

Have Wednesday morning available? ”Dust to Glory” by R.C. Sproul is a 9 month study for women at 8:30 am each week. There will be DVD talks by Sproul demonstrating the unity of God’s Word and a survey of the important themes and characters of the New Testament. If you desire to grow deeper in the knowledge and love of the Lord, this study is for you. Childcare will not be provided. Register on the patio 8/15, 8/22, 8/29.
